My Bio

Mad-scientist-in-training, who enjoys gaming, writing, and crafty stuff on the side. I also enjoy jogging, refereeing zombie apocalypses, ~~making disasters happen in the kitchen~~ ~~doing science with dinner recipes~~ ~~setting the oven on fire~~ cooking, and climbing mountains, when I can find them. I do like to draw, as well (it's so relaxing!) but... well... I've never shown any particular talent for it. Still, I can manage some sub-par sketches, if I go fairly slow.

I am also incredibly socially awkward, and also a big nerd. Less so online (except for the nerd part, that is stronger online,) but still... So I apologize in advance if I'm kind of skittish and quiet. Odds are, I either don't know what to say, or am trying to respond in a not-accidentally-offending-people kind of way. Give me some time to get used to you, and I swear, I'll loosen up ^^;

Just a Quick Update...

I am up to my eyeballs in applications. For the past year and a half, I've been scrambling around like a maniac trying to make the stars align in terms of a career in science research. And while getting all of my honors requirements in and executing an independent research project in a little under an academic year was kinda backbreaking, I did manage to do it! A thesis, a Bachelor's of Science, and a paper based out of my undergrad thesis going out for review. Laundry List

Haven't updated in a long time. Here's the short list of happenings; -Finished third year of undergrad. Lost 4.0 GPA. Zero fucks given. Maybe now I can stop whipping myself so hard academically and not be as anxious about grades. Yeah, right. -Won an undergrad research grant. My experiment has failed twice, getting ready to try for a third time, hopefully without contamination. Science research is what I want to do, I am very much sure of that fact. I feel at home in the lab, analyzing data, talking designs and numbers. It's just right somehow. Not sure if I want to stay in my current field of study, though. Seeds are frustrating. -Health
